T-Mobile top for mobile broadband in survey

Manoj Solanki, Wednesday May 20, 2009 - 12:09 PM

In the latest YouGov “Dongle Tracker” survey of 2,083 mobile broadband users, T-Mobile took first place in six categories.

The top marks came in network coverage, customer service, billing, ease of use and installation.

However, out of the 2,083 sample tests, only 283 of those were T-Mobile customers.  That said T-Mobile has come out top in previous dongle tracker surveys, including the last one.  An independent test house also performs quarterly tests on its network to measure its performance when doing common tasks such as browsing websites, where it has hit the top spot.

Richard Warmsley, Head of Internet and Entertainment for T-MobileUK, commented: “Coming top in two consecutive rounds of YouGov research shows that customers recognise and value T-Mobile’s range of simple plans, attention to customer care and the reassurance that no matter how often they access the internet, they will never pay more than their monthly flat rate.”

T-Mobile is continuing to improve its 3G access and expects to have almost blanket coverage of the UK by 2010, through its network sharing agreement with rival operator 3.
